Being able to help patients in so many different aspects involved with their oral health and overall wellbeing is truly rewarding. I love helping patients achieve the healthy and beautiful smile they deserve! Not only are patients more confident as an individual, but they become healthier overall because oral health is associated with whole body health. Many patients come to the office with a fear of the dentist and I want to be able to help ease that fear. I work with gentle hands and take the time to make sure you are comfortable throughout your entire appointment!

I love meeting and getting to know my patients right from the beginning. Everyone is unique and has a different story to tell, and I truly believe it’s important to understand everyone from his or her own perspective.

It is extremely rewarding to help others achieve a healthy and beautiful smile. Whether a patient is in pain, embarrassed about their smile, or just wanting to be able to eat their favorite foods again, I can help them achieve that goal. A simple procedure can greatly affect my patient’s life, and I love being able to see that transformation.

EDUCATION AND CONTINUED LEARNING

Originally from Wichita, KS, I completed my undergraduate education at Baker University and attended dental school at UMKC School of Dentistry. I also completed a post-graduate one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at UMKC School of Dentistry, where I received advanced education in dental implant placement, cosmetic dentistry, and treatment of complex cases.

Taking continuing education courses helps me to stay up to date with the latest modalities in dentistry. New research, technology, and techniques in dentistry emerge every day that outlines the best practices for patient care.

OUTSIDE THE OFFICE

I currently reside in Kansas City with my cat named Jax. I love to spend time outside as much as I can, especially when running, swimming, and biking! My other pastimes include trying new restaurants, especially during Kansas City restaurant week, and checking out local concerts, festivals, and events.

I am most passionate about my family. They will always be my biggest support system and I do everything possible to see them as often as I can.

Being professionally active outside the office is also very important to me. I love to volunteer with Team Smile in Kansas City and the Kansas and Missouri Mission of Mercy programs, where I can provide free dental care for children and the underserved population. It’s a great way to give back to the community!
